This is short notice, and I don't know if they are going to be actually debating, but Jeff Merkley and Steve Novick are going to be speaking at the Oswego Lake Country Club for the monthly speaking event held there.
The monthly Speakers Forum will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. at Oswego Lake Country Club. Light refreshments are served. Tickets are $12 for members and $14 for non-members. Reservations should be made through Patricia Rovainen at CM Bookkeeping at 503-656-4445 by Monday, Jan. 7.
I'd love to go but I think I would be old and gray by the time a bus would get me to Lake Oswego!
The event is sponsored by the Willamette Women Democrats, a volunteer organization that works to provide forums "to educate citizens on issues and candidates, to endorse the issues and candidates that best reflect the progressive principles of the Democratic Party and to encourage women to seek elective office".
Hopefully, we will continue to see the candidates appearing together to discuss the issues. And here is the rest of it.

My name is Candy Neville. I filed in Sept. to run for U.S. Senate. I am NOT a Well-Behaved Woman, having aimed directly at the office that deals with the most dire, disgraceful and draining issue in America - the Iraq War. A well-behaved woman would be running for City Council and if City Council dealt with the war - I would be. I'm a mother, a fed up and disenfranchized citizen, a businesswoman. I am many things, but not well-behaved. Had I been - I might have been included in the Willamette Women Democrat forum with the male candidates seeking the same office I do - U.S. Senate. I need help from other NOT Well Behaved Women to be heard, bring our troops home, look after Oregonians' health, environment, labor, education. I am a direct contrast to Gordon Smith - an anti-Smith antidote. But if I am dismissed and overlooked by well behaved women, I'm going nowhere. I need your help. Please go to candyneville.com or call me at 541-683-4003. Thanks.
