The Coquille and same-sex marriage

Just Out caught this piece from the Oregonian.

The Coquille Nation, in southern Oregon, has sanctioned same-sex marriage. I don't think the Oregonian's short piece does justice to the possible legal rumblings likely to be born of this, but I love the fact that there is anything IN the Oregonian about it! And here is the rest of it.

Awesome. Legal ramifications are just what is needed. I presume this refers to a Native American nation---where among many tribes "being GBLT" was revered. I hope this leads to more tribal nation legal marriages.

Oh man... I imagine my former mother in law who lives rather near the area must be pretty upset about THIS decision!! ;)
Yeah for the Coquille area!
